    What are Spider Veins?

Spider veins are like varicose veins but smaller. They begin as tiny capillaries and appear as blue or red squiggles. They are small red, blue or purple veins that commonly appear on the surface of the thighs, calves and ankles. It’s estimated that at least one third of the adult female population is troubled with this common problem. People often seek treatment for spider veins because of aesthetic concerns. However, it is also typical for spider veins to cause physical symptoms, such as aching, heaviness, itching and night cramps.  Certain factors contribute to the development of spider veins, including heredity, pregnancy, hormonal factors, weight gain, occupations or activities that require prolonged sitting or standing, and trauma.

After laser vein therapy, your body needs time to reabsorb the tissue from the vein wall. This process generally takes about 4-8 weeks. We will do a follow up visit about 4 weeks after your treatment and at that time we will determine if additional treatments are necessary. Most clients will require 2-3 treatments to see the full effect.

The CuteraCoolGuide system can remove unsightly veins from all parts of your body. A careful evaluation by the professionals at Alternative’s can get you started towards a program to remove this problem once and for all.
